We are adapting our services in the face of this crisis. Family Promise of the Midlands depends on our Host and Support Congregations to provide shelter and love to the families we serve, but right now, during the Coronavirus pandemic, our ability to serve our families experiencing homelessness has changed drastically. We are having to utilize hotels as shelters as we work to meet the basic needs of our families. We are also working with families in our Aftercare Program to ensure they remain stable.
The unpredictable nature of these times will test our ability to respond as a community to those who are unstably housed. Family Promise wants to continue to serve families experiencing homelessness and be a bridge for those who have lost income now or will in the near future. While we cannot use traditional methods to provide shelter for those in need, we are doing our very best to adapt in these challenging times. Our mission would not be possible without your support!
